This is the placeholder for my academic research work. I am a digital ethnographer experienced in using a variety of qualitative approaches to interpret narrative and communal discourse. I am interested in the impact of digital material documents when used to replace the physical; books, maps, guides and other media forms, and discovering how communities of readers compensate through the development of shared, ludic, practices of reading.
I have taught digital culture, media studies, cultural studies and research methods modules for a decade, and I will collect ideas for new content, module readings and reflections on practice here.
